Geoff Payton from the Village of Sugar Grove has provided us the following information.  The Village is a member of a 33 municipality tree consortium and can assist homeowners who wish to plant trees at their own expense.  They offer 2.5" diameter trees planted and mulched for around $300 per tree.  The costs do vary based on species, but $300 is a good average.  Geoff would be happy to discuss this program with you if you are interested.
